Around The Property
Surrounded by lush evergreen bush, the expansive, secluded creek flats provide plenty of space to wander and day dream. Take a refreshing dip in the freshwater pool or enjoy a traditional woodier sauna. Escape to a peaceful retreat where the stresses of everyday life fade away, and the beauty of the natural world takes centre stage.
Wake to the sound of birds, the sounds of the creek slowly trickling by, and the trees softly blowing in the breeze.
Guests are encouraged to explore the gardens by the pool, the veggie pods by the shed, or for the adventurous, go through the gates to the east of the house and follow the beautiful forested creek flats. Guests are welcome to collect seasonal herbs, vegetables, and fruits from the garden (subject to availability!)
When available, your hosts Mel and Ryan would be delighted to guide you through the food forest, where you can discover even more fresh produce to enjoy.
Please note the different fruits and veggies are seasonal!
Summer days invite you to take a refreshing swim in the freshwater rockpool, enjoy a friendly game of tennis on the courts along the southern boundary, or simply relax in a hammock by the pool. You’re also welcome to join us for yoga or Qigong sessions on the pool deck.
As winter arrives, warm up with a traditional wood-fired sauna, cozy up with a drink by the outdoor fire pit (and maybe toast a marshmallow), or experience the infrared sauna on the balcony while watching a magical sunset. For the adventurous, join us each morning for breathwork and cold water immersion in the beautiful natural pool surrounded by nature.
In any season, you can challenge yourself to a game of darts, unwind while taking in the peaceful views from the deck of your chosen accommodation, or savor the magic of a sunrise or sunset. Find a quiet spot to lie back and watch the stars drift across the night sky—you might even catch a few shooting stars!
While we don’t currently have cattle on the property, our future plans include welcoming chickens for fresh eggs, as well as a small herd of Highland cattle and a few alpacas to enhance the rural experience.
Please note, our paddocks are fully fenced to keep any our animals contained, but also to keep neighbouring animals out, and guests are kindly asked to ensure all gates are kept closed at all times.
For guests traveling to Forest Creek Retreat by Electric vehicles, the nearest public EV charging stations are located in Nabiac (approximately 25 minutes away) and Taree (about 45 minutes away).
